You may bring a guest that does not attend Palatine High School. They must be at least a freshman in high school and no older than 20 years old. All guests must check-in with the person who purchased their Prom ticket.

4 / What is the dress code?

Formal dress is recommended. Examples include, full length dresses, suits, tuxedos, etc. Jeans, t-shirts, sweatpants, etc. are not considered appropriate attire.

5 / How do I buy tickets?

You will not receive a physical ticket for Prom. Your name will be put on a list of registered Prom attendees. You and your guest will need to show an ID (student ID, driver's license, or state ID) at check-in to verify that your name is on the list.

7 / What if I did not buy a ticket but still want to go to prom?

You may contact Mrs. Hoening-Coyl (shoeningcoyl@d211.org) and Mrs. McCloseky (smccloskey@d211.org) in the Social Studies to be put on a waitlist. Being put on the waitlist does not guarantee a ticket to Prom. Priority will be given to Palatine High School students.

8 / Can I get a refund on my Prom ticket if I decide not to go?

You may receive your money back if your ticket can be re-sold to a student on the waitlist. If there are no students on the waitlist to buy your ticket, you will not receive any money back.

9 / Can I sell my ticket to someone else if I decide not to go to Prom?

No, all ticket transfers must go through Mrs. Hoening-Coyl and Mrs. McCloskey. Please inform them as soon as possible that you will no longer be attending Prom so they can try and re-sell your ticket to someone on the waitlist. Any student who is not on the list of registered Prom attendees will not be admitted to Prom.

10 / What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please contact Mrs. Hoening-Coyl and Mrs. McCloskey with your specific dietary restriction and you may be accommodated. Accommodations are not guaranteed.

11 / How can I make sure I sit by my friends for dinner at Prom?

The SignUpGenius will be open from 4:00 P.M on May 1st until 4:00 P.M on May 8th. You may make changes to your seating arrangement before the SignUpGenius window closes. Once the seating chart has been finalized, no changes will be made.

We will not move students without their consent. The sign up is first come, first serve.

You may leave Prom at any time you would like. Your parent/guardian may be notified if you are leaving early. You may not return to Prom once you leave the venue.

13 / What if I leave something in my car?

You may not go to your car once you check-in to Prom. If you leave the venue, you may not re-enter. This includes going to your car in between Prom and Post-Prom.

Please make sure you have all items you want during prom (medication/inhaler, phone, phone charger, change of shoes, etc.)

14 / What if I am having financial troubles and cannot afford a Prom ticket?

Please arrange a meeting with your counselor to discuss your options to receive assistance with purchasing a Prom ticket. This is not guaranteed. This process must be completed before Prom ticket sales end on April 26th.
