Ticket Sales:

Through MySchoolBucks from

Monday, April 22 to Friday April 26

Ticket sales will first open to Seniors at 7:30 A.M on April 22nd.

Ticket sales will open to Juniors at 4:00 P.M on April 23rd.

All students must complete their ticket purchases by April 26th at 4:00 P.M.

*Students must attend Prom in order to attend Post-Prom*

TICKET SALES ARE CAPPED AT 225 GUESTS.

Description of Event: Students will be bused to Navy Pier and board a cruise ship where they will continue to enjoy their evening of dancing on Lake Michigan.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1 / Is a Post-Prom ticket the same price as a Prom ticket?

No. A Prom ticket is $60. A POST-Prom ticket is an additional $75.

2 / Is my guest allowed to go to Post-Prom with me?

Yes. You may purchase a POST-Prom ticket for your guest but they must also be attending Prom. 

3 / Will there be food at Post-Prom?

Yes, there will be food provided during POST-Prom. Please contact Ms.Lyons at mc_lyons@msn.com or Kathy Veenendaal nursekathy2003@hotmail.com as soon as possible with any dietary restrictions you have.

4 / What should I wear to Post-Prom?

You will wear the clothing that you wear to Prom. There will not be time to change for POST-Prom.

5 / How do I buy tickets?

POST-Prom ticket purchases will be done through MySchoolBucks from 7:30 A.M. on Monday, April 22 to Friday, April 26 at 3:30 P.M. POST-Prom is limited to 225 guests. Ticket sales will first open to Seniors at 7:30 A.M on April 22nd. Ticket sales will open to Juniors at 4:00 P.M on April 23rd. All ticket purchases must be completed by April 26th. It is recommended to complete your purchase through the MySchoolBucks App. You MUST purchase a Prom ticket in order to attend Post-Prom.

6 / What if I did not buy a ticket but still want to go to Post-Prom?

You may contact Mrs. Hoening-Coyl (shoeningcoyl@d211.org and Mrs. McCloskey (smccloskey@d211.org) in the Social Studies office to be put on a waitlist. No tickets will be sold past the deadline. Being put on the waitlist does not guarantee a ticket to Post-Prom. Priority will be given to Palatine High School students.

7 / Can I get a refund on my Post-Prom ticket if I decide not to go?

You may receive your money back if your ticket can be re-sold to a student on the waitlist. If there are no students on the waitlist to buy your ticket, you will not receive any money back.

8 / Will I be able to sit with my friends on the bus to Post-Prom?

Buses going to Post-Prom can seat 45 passengers. You can sign up yourself and your guest for a bus via a SignUpGenius link that will be sent to all POST-Prom attendees. You may make changes to your bus assignment before the SignUpGenius window closes. Once the bus assignment has been finalized, no changes will be made. You must ride on the same bus to and from POST-Prom. 

We will not move students without their consent. The sign up is first come, first serve.

9 / Can I or someone else drive me to Post-Prom? Can someone pick me up from Post-Prom if I want to leave early?

All Post-Prom attendees must ride the bus to and from POST-Prom. You MAY NOT be picked up from POST-Prom by a parent/guardian/other person. If there is an emergency, you must speak with a POST-Prom chaperone who will help with any extenuating circumstance.

 

The Post-Prom cruise ship will be actively sailing around Lake Michigan which does not permit guests to disembark early.

10 / Will the buses after Post-Prom drop us off at Palatine High School?

The buses after Post-Prom will only return to the Belvedere. Your cars may be left overnight. You may also need to arrange to be picked up if you do not leave your car or do not feel comfortable driving after the event. 

11 / Can I receive finanical assistance if I cannot afford a Post-Prom ticket?

Possibly. Please contact Ms. Chanda Lyons at mc_lyons@msn.com or Ms. Kathy Veenendaal nursekathy2003@hotmail.com by 12:00 P.M on April 21st if you are in need of financial assistance.
